Examples of Work...

Below I have listed examples of print work I have done. At the moment I have a mix of clients and a few school projects. Projects with an asterisk (*) are school projects. Please also keep in mind that these are large documents; I wanted to keep them at the highest quality to show the detail of craftmanship put into each composition.

Print Work...

ZooFive ZooFive: identity creation and enviromental grasphics*- This project invovled alot of designers choices from the begining: choosing the location, name, logo, signage, gift shop items, and uniforms. It involved looking at other design systems and signage in addtion to information about animals. All of the signage has been design to print to an accurate architects scaling system.

The theme for ZooFive was that it would be a hands on zoo that engaged all the senses. A lot of things children learn from tend to be from a book, computer monitor, or tv screen; this zoo would let kids have a hands on learning experience. The logo represents a child's hand mixed in with a lion paw, which shows the hands on animal and child interaction. The entryway is a oasis-like waterfall that allows for a nice photo op and gathering place for families before they enter the zoo.

LibraryLibrary Wayfinding*-This project included analyzing the current library's architecture and signage, identifying it's problem areas, and then desigining a system for solving the problems. It includes a lot of direction, identification, and informational signage from a range of signs as that top 10 feet and some slightly smaller than a sheet of paper depending on what problem needed to be addressed. A significant part of this project was going out the the library multiple times, taking photos with my tripod, and manually measuring many places in the library. Additionally I developed a metaphor for the library so the signs don't look generic and plain. This system is based off of the idea that the library has 'tons of information' so the background of the sign has a texture of type which would be supporting a frosted plexiglass sign that had the readable information.

Timeline*- This is an example of a timeline that might be printed on the wall at a museum. The project included extensive research of the subject matter.

MichaelsMicahael's*- Rebranding- This project looks at giving MIchael's a more up to date look to the company. It included a logo, business card, stationary, brouchure, rack card, uniforms, brand boards, packaging, signage and truck designs. I used water colour textures and nice bold soild colours for the basis of the designs.

BookletElis Island Booklet*- This example shows a cover design, introduction page, and 2 different layout that show of the interior pages will be used in a consistant manner.

BalmorheaTexas Paks*- This was a project shows posters of Texas parks and how the layout works with each park. Then taking the same design style I developed a seris of 4 panel parallel fold brochures for each of the same parks. Click on the images below to see each design in full size.

FlierFlier- This is a small flier that I made for a Water Fitration company. I used the same design style as thier companion website, like the wavy lines and the same fonts. I also designed the wordmark/logo for them. The flier shows strong hierarchy with the type in a very simple mannner.

Mercado GlobalStationary System*- This is a stationary system made for a website that sells products from women in undenrpriviledged countries. Also shown is a matchin business card. I also designed the logo by meshing the idea of the world market or international trade with a needle and thread which signify hand made products.
